1. Overview

GUZZL is a drinking card game app developed by Unholy Labs. This privacy policy explains how our app collects, uses, and protects your data.

2. Data Collected

GUZZL collects the following data locally on your device only:

• Game statistics (total games, shot count, play time)
• Player names and emojis (entered during gameplay)
• Game history (last 50 game summaries)
• App settings (sound, theme, team names)
• Age verification status

This data is never sent outside your device and is not stored on our servers.

3. Data Storage

All data is stored in your device's local storage (AsyncStorage and SecureStore). Most data stays on-device. Certain services (detailed in Section 4) transmit limited data for ads, analytics, purchases, and error reporting. When you delete the app, all data is automatically deleted.

4. Third-Party Services

GUZZL uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob: Displays advertisements (interstitial, banner, rewarded). AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. Non-personalized ads are served when consent is not granted.
• Google UMP (User Messaging Platform): Manages GDPR consent for users in the European Economic Area.
• Apple App Tracking Transparency: On iOS, you will be asked for permission before any tracking for ad purposes.
• RevenueCat: Processes in-app purchases and subscription management. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts. No personal data is shared.
• PostHog: Collects anonymous product analytics to help us improve the app experience. PostHog receives anonymized usage events, device type, and OS version. No player names, game content, or personal information is included.
• Sentry: Collects crash reports and performance data to help us fix bugs. Sentry receives device type, OS version, and error stack traces. No player names, game content, or screenshots are included in crash reports.
• Expo Notifications: Delivers push notifications for weekly content updates. A device push token is stored to deliver notifications. No personal data is associated with the token.

You can remove all advertisements by purchasing the "Remove Ads" option in Settings.

5. Age Verification

GUZZL is intended for users aged 18 and over due to alcohol-related content. An age verification screen is shown at app launch. This verification is based solely on user confirmation and does not perform official ID checks.

6. User Rights

You have the following rights:

• Right of Access: You can view all your data within the app (Settings, Game History)
• Right to Rectification: Player names and settings can be edited at any time
• Right to Erasure:Delete your data via Settings > Delete All Data, or by removing the app
• Right to Data Portability: Your data is stored locally on your device and accessible to you at all times
• Right to Object: You can opt out of personalized advertising via the consent prompt, and disable notifications in Settings
• Clear game history:Settings > Clear Game History

Since your data is stored only on your device, deletion is immediate and permanent. For users in the European Economic Area, these rights are guaranteed under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. Child Safety

GUZZL is not designed for users under 18. It contains alcohol consumption references and is in the adult content category. We recommend parents use device-level age restrictions.

8. Disclaimer

GUZZL is for entertainment purposes only. It encourages responsible alcohol consumption. The app developers cannot be held responsible for any harm resulting from excessive alcohol consumption. Please comply with your local laws and consume responsibly.

10. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be announced via in-app notification.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

• Right to Know: You can request what personal information we collect
• Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal information
• Right to Opt-Out: You can opt out of the sale of personal information
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights

GUZZL does not sell personal information. All data is stored locally on your device. To exercise your rights, use Settings > Delete All Data or contact support@unholylabs.com.

12. In-App Purchase Data

When you make an in-app purchase (e.g., "Remove Ads", premium packs, or GUZZL PRO subscription), the transaction is processed by Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or RevenueCat (our purchase management partner). GUZZL only stores a local flag indicating your purchase and subscription status. We do not collect or store payment information, credit card details, or transaction IDs. Purchase restoration is handled through the respective store platform.

13. Data Retention

All personal data (player names, game history, settings) is stored exclusively on your device and retained only as long as the app is installed.

• Game history: Last 50 games stored locally; older entries are automatically removed
• Crash reports (Sentry): Automatically deleted after 90 days
• Ad data (AdMob): Managed per Google's retention policies
• Analytics data (PostHog): Anonymized usage events retained per PostHog's data retention policies
• Purchase records (RevenueCat): Anonymous purchase data retained per RevenueCat's privacy policy

Uninstalling GUZZL permanently deletes all locally stored data. You can also manually delete data at any time via Settings > Delete All Data.
